Tableau was a separate entity before Salesforce acquired it for $15.7 billion in June this year. The acquisition is one of the largest acquisitions in the history of the IT industry. Tableau is still a global leader in business intelligence and analytics. Tableau helps you analyze, visualize and share information quickly with colleagues and business partners as and when needed. Millions of Tableau users are satisfied with the software. When asked about the acquisitions 99% of responses were in favor of Salesforce taking over the BI and BA giant.
Adam Selipsky, President and Chief Executive Officer of Tableau said, "We saw strong subscription momentum during Q1 with our mix at 84 percent and our annual recurring revenue exceeding $900 million, up 41 percent year-over-year," He added, "We are seeing more and more customers cultivate a data-driven culture in their organizations due to the ease of use and flexibility of Tableau's end-to-end analytics platform."
Now that tableau server integration with Salesforce is the talk of the town. The only question Tableau and Salesforce users are asking is, ‘does tableau integrate with Salesforce’ and the answer is ‘Yes’. The main objective of the acquisition was to integrate the two software for better and more easier business processing.
